Boeing Strengthens Titanium Supply Relationship With Russia's Avisma

According to related reports, Boeing and Russian titanium producer VSMPO-AVISMA have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) confirming that VSMPO-AVISMA will remain the current and future largest titanium supplier for Boeing commercial aircraft.

According to the memorandum of understanding signed by the two companies at the Dubai Air Show, Boeing and VSMPO-AVISMA will work together: increase the utilization rate of the Ural Boeing Manufacturing (UBM) joint Russia venture ; increase RD investment and will continue to develop new titanium alloys And technology;and explore new opportunities, Except raw materials or forging technology, expand the role of VSMPO-AVISMA in the production of titanium components for current and future Boeing commercial aircraft.
